Reward outings are an extension of the middle school day and all school rules apply.
You will not be allowed into the dance ½ hour after the dance starts unless you have a signed parental note turned into the office indicating when you will arrive.
Students must remain at the dance until the end unless ill or arrangements have been made with the parent. No students are allowed outside the school building during the dance.
Discipline referrals and/or minor infraction reports may cause a student to not be allowed to attend the dance.
Students absent from school on the day of the dance will not be permitted into the dance that evening.
All students, food, and drink must remain in the MPR. Carry-ins or energy drinks are not allowed.
Student behavior
Running, shoving, and fighting are unacceptable and not permitted.
Students should not stand on furniture, hang from ceiling beams, or in any way touch or attempt to operate DJ/Band equipment. Any damage to equipment or property will be the responsibility of the student and his/her parent/guardian.
Students should dance in an appropriate manner throughout the evening. Slam dancing, crowd surfing, grinding, or dancing in a sexually suggestive manner (including touching) are not appropriate or acceptable. Failure to follow the rules will result in the removal from the dance.
Student Dress Code
The school dress code must be followed. Tube tops, lingerie-looking tops, see through or partially see through tops are not allowed. Underwear should not be seen through or outside of clothing. Skirts and dresses must meet dress code length of being as long as fingers unless tights are worn underneath. Hats also, may not be worn. Failure to follow the dress code will result in the removal from the dance.
Guests
Guest of students must complete a form found in the office prior to the dance. Guests must meet with the principal at least one day prior to the dance and have the form signed by both the parent of the MMS student and the parent of the guest.
Chaperones reserve the right to remove any student from the dance for inappropriate behavior or end the dance early.
