Dear Elementary School Parents and Guardians-
Currently there are approximately 250 students enrolled in grades 3-6 and our elementary school staff is comprised of about 40 staff members. Students and families have the opportunity to participate in family activities like the Color Run, Halloween Dance, Celebration of Learning and other fun family events.
A little background on your Elementary Principal:
I currently live in Oconomowoc with my husband Dan. My two children, Erin and Ben, are both adults and enjoy traveling and learning about places and people outside of Wisconsin. I also have three rescue dogs named Huey, Hank and Larry. When I am not in Marshall, you can find us golfing, bowling, attending sporting events and going to local festivals.
I began my teaching career in Milwaukee Public Schools in 1997 where I taught 7th grade Social Studies and Language Arts. I have also taught 3rd and 4th grade. While working in the Watertown Unified School District as a K-12 Gifted & Talented Coordinator, I attended UW-Madison & received my MA degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis. In 2018, I was hired as the Associate Principal of Marshall Elementary & Marshall Middle School. In 2019, I accepted the position of Elementary Principal.
This upcoming year will be my 7th year as Principal of the Elementary School. It is my privilege to work alongside the staff, students and families in Marshall. I feel so fortunate to be part of this amazing team. We take great pride in the positive culture we have built at the Elementary School. Students, staff and families consistently report that they feel welcome and at home here at Marshall Elementary.
If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback please email me or call my office at 608-655-4403 x1110. Your feedback is important to our staff and myself as we continue to strive for excellence.
Kind regards,
Kathy Needles
